Perfect Party Bags
Hi, Emma here from Little Party People, taking over the BabyLoved Blog!
What do your children love about parties? The amazing cake? Pass the parcel? Or...the party bags??
The BabyLoved girls set me a little task – to pull together my favourite bits to fill the perfect party bag with. I personally LOVE a party bag and usually find myself keeping lots of the accessories we add into our LPP bags for myself (ooops). I love a traditional mix in a party bag - a stationary item, a couple of sweet treats, a celebratory item (like a balloon or badge) and an interesting toy. And of course a giant piece of cake and a balloon. The key of course, is making your party bag that little bit different, without breaking the bank.
Kids (and adults alike) can't get enough of stationery. It's a fact! Bright colours and quirky designs are always going to catch their eye. It's a great way to carry on the post party fun! Here’s a few favourites from recent LPP bags we have put together. Pencil Pals, Caterpillar Ruler and hole in the head pencils, lollipop eraser, personalised crayons - All for Under £1 per piece. All from Flying Tiger UK, Arty Tots Crayons, or The Range. I love a 'splurge' item... Slightly more of a treat item for a party bag but I could't resist – these superhero pencils (with eraser cape), at £2.95 per pencil from Little & Fierce are sure to look cute poking out of the top of a party bag.
Of course, every party bag needs some tasty treats in it! Here's a few picks you can find at your local stores that work out at way less than £1 per item! And for total ease, I've picked out the items which are individually wrapped. Mini Party Rings, Fruity Pops, iced gems and crazy drinking straws - the drinking straws could be used at the party too.
For a bit of party fun, we always like to add in some celebratory items to LPP bags. Easy options - add in confetti to throw, or a cute balloon, or a confetti pop! Now I’ve seen these confetti pops from Pops Of Colour all over Instagram and these are on my ‘most wanted list' for my own Birthday Party. No explosives in these pops, each pop is stuffed full with a colourful blend of hand-cut tissue paper and foil pieces in the colours of your choice. I love that you can get the canister personalised too. Starting at £3.50 per pop, they are a definite treat item but for the Instagram-worth photos to come from the showers of confetti over your little one – well worth it!
If you can't find the time to make your own party bags, which is a definite possibility! Then head over to Oglee Poglee to order their bespoke or themed 'Little Crafty Surprise' bags. This is such a great alternative to the traditional party bags as it's so much less time consuming for busy parents. Each craft box is hand packed so no two are the same. Themes include, Alphabet, Under the sea, Woodland, Jungle and many more. All priced around the £4 mark per bag!
These top picks for perfect party bags will ensure your little party people leave with a smile on their face. They would go great alongside our super popular glitter tattoos! (Which have been approved by the wee Baby Loved mascots!!)
